#5 – Lips:
You can never go wrong with a bright lip. If you’re fair, a bright pink will look beautiful against your skin tone, just like oranges/corals look great on olive complexions. If you’re a deeper skin tone, try out some burgundy shades or dark reds. Choose a finish that you’re comfortable with.
A general rule is that matte lipsticks are more long lasting but can be drying, while a creamier lip is great for those with dry lips.
Current budget makeup favourites:
- Maybelline Color Jolt Lip Paint – $14.95
- NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil – $9.95
- Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick – $9.95
- Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor – $24.95
All of this is just the tip of the iceberg. And sure, you’re never going to stop buying high end makeup, but this is a great way to save if you’re on a budget. And while you may be wearing a Maybelline foundation, there are always ways to trick people into thinking it’s Armani instead. Happy shopping!
