Now that the temperature’s dropped and we’ve packed our flirty summer dresses away, our wardrobes are crying out for warmth, richness and comfort. If you followed the Fall/Winter fashion weeks, you’ll have noticed that one particular fabric reigned supreme on the catwalk – velvet.
Velvet was positively everywhere for Fall ‘16. From Balmain’s velvet cut-out jumpsuit to Monse’s delightfully pink velvet evening gown, it seems that designers can’t quite get enough of the rich velvety goodness. No other fabric is quite so luxe, soft and warm as velvet and there couldn’t be a more perfect time to add a little velvet to your wardrobe.
